Drum Lessons in Oakland

Drum lessons can start at a younger age than guitar or bass. 7 is a good age, though some can start as young as 5 or 6. For the young student, it’s a great instrument to start one’s musical journey. If the student later learns another instrument, their drum experience will give them a good rhythm foundation (my first instrument was drums!).

A good drummer can always find a band to play with – they’re highly in demand! You’ll learn how to play with other musicians by working with recordings, and go beyond learning beats and fills to explore how the drum parts can make or break a song.
