For guitar lessons, it’s best to be at least 8 years old. Some 6 or 7 year olds can do it, but it can be difficult at that age. We can work on any style (though I will admit that classical and flamenco are not my strengths. You might want to consider getting a different teacher for those styles).

I teach all levels; from total beginners to the advanced lead guitarists. Note reading and theory are optional. Most music is written out in tablature. You can learn anything from Zeppelin to country to indie-rock (Sleater-Kinney? Dinosaur Jr.?) to blues (both classic and contemporary) to jazz or punk or funk etc….
